Torns IF is located in Stångby, just north of the city of Lund, in Lund’s municipality. We are growing in numbers of members each year and our main focus is on football. Primarily we’re inviting children and youths from the villages of Stångby, Vallkärra, Håstad, Västra Hoby, Odarslöv and Annehem. Though members of Torns IF comes from Helsingborg in the north of Skåne to Malmö in the south so anyone is welcome to join us. Together we’re working to maintain and develop our organisation's possibilities to offer healthy activities for all ages.
Torns IF was formed in 1965 and since 1983 we own and maintain our full scale indoor arena and cafeteria all by our self. Together we annually arrange a large Art and Craftwork Exhibit each fall, called “Stångbymässan”, as well as “Tornspelen”, an indoor football tournament for boys and girls, 7 years old, all the way up to senior players. Tornspelen is an ongoing tournament at every weekend from October to February.

Torns IF:s objectives are:

offer primarily youths but also adults i our geographical surroundings a fun, healthy, interesting and developing community and activities.

offer a qualitative football practice where everyone can participate at equal terms. This will be offered by the guidance of trained, knowledgeable and committed coaches and team leaders.

everyone that wants to can participate in games and tournaments, approved by The Football association of Skåne and The Swedish National Football Association, or it’s international counterparts.

every team within Torns IF are encouraged to at least once during it’s existence in our association participate a large international tournament. Torns IF will then support the cost for this team financially.

to encourage activities for all rather than elite focus within our youth activities.

all members will together maintain our association with long term perspective of quality and financial stability.

work for a good and developing cooperation with other associations in Torns parish, Lund’s municipality and regional and national football associations.
All members in Torns IF are to strive for:
- everyone that join in our activities should feel welcomed, participate on equal terms and have fun.
- guest visiting Torns IF are always welcomed and treated with respect and kindness from our coaches, players and spectators.
- pursuing a good reputation within the world of football among opponents, referees and other associations.
- that no one will be discriminated or is object to harassment due to colour of their skin, language, sexual preference, disabilities, age or religious faith.
- our supporters (family, friends) have a good behaviour at all times when supporting their team.
- to always show respect and do not use offending words towards those that support us in our activities such as referees, coaches and staff.
- no alcohol, drugs or tobacco is used in presence or together with our youths in our association or any other youth activities.
- all members – players and parents – are together responsible to help running our association, participate during events arranged by Torns IF, help coaches with the teams when asked to or needed, participate in activity groups or boards.
